Super Mario slots

This game is one I found on http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/top-10-interactive-youtube-games/ . On this page it claims this interactive game to be in the top ten.

Good points about this game:

·         It’s easy to understand

·         Keeps your attention as it is very brightly coloured

·         It’s based on Mario, which is a very popular character so would appeal to people who are fans of Mario.

Bad points about this game:

·         It gets boring very quickly

·         If you don’t click exactly where your meant to it pauses the video

I think a slot game would be a good idea, and possibly fairly easy to use. But the only problem is they do get boring very quickly I lost interest in the game very quickly.

Interactive spelling bee

This game I also found on the same website as super Mario slots. Also in the top ten on their website of interactive games on YouTube.

Good points about this game:

·         It helps children learn their spellings as its educational

·         There is different levels, so the further you get the more you feel u have learnt or achieved

·         There is an element of humour in the game which keeps you interested and wanting to keep playing.

Bad points about this game:

·         They have words that are fairly rare that aren’t used that often so if it was made for children to help them with there spelling, they won’t really achieve much as they won’t be using these sorts of words.

This is a very good idea for an interactive game as it’s very educational and keeps you engaged for a long period of time, much longer than the Mario game. But what I would say is that some of the words are hard to work out how to spell as they are very rare words.

Howard Glitch

This game I found on YouTube. I don’t understand what your meant to do or even what or who Howard Glitch is.

Good points of this game:

·         I honestly can’t think of any good points about this game

Bad points about this game:

·         It doesn’t have a storyline so you’re unsure of what’s going on

·         The text they use is really hard to read and doesn’t stay on the screen long enough

·         When you get round to playing the game it’s really hard to understand what your meant to do as the instructions are not clear enough

All in all I think this is not a very good game as it seems soo complex and hard to understand. I wouldn’t want to make a game like this.

The time machine, Chad, Mat & Rob interactive

I found this game on YouTube. These three people make other interactive videos for YouTube, and from what I’ve seen they are really good.

Good points about this game:

·         It’s clear what’s going on and easy to understand

·         It seems really professional, the camera angles and sound effects and edits are really good and you can tell a lot of effort has gone into making it

·         It’s funny so it keeps you interested

·         There’s a clear story line

·         You can get involved with the story and choose what happens

Bad points about this game:

·         Your limited to what you can decide on what happens in the story

I think this is a really good interactive video because it has been made very professionally and it’s comical. I think doing an interactive story would be better than doing a game and possibly more simple.

A day in Disney world interactive

This video I also found on you tube by searching ‘interactive videos on You tube’. The video’s about a guy who goes to Disney land in Florida, he goes with his video camera and goes on all the rides. As he’s going around the park past rides he will say ‘click on the ride, if you want to ride it’ so you choose what he does.

Good points about this video:

·         This video has lots of interaction as you decide what you want to do and what rides to go on.

·         If you’re planning on going there you can see before you go what it’s like and what the rides are like.

·         You don’t have to go all the way to Florida to experience the rides.

·         Your kept involved all the time as the guy talks to you as if your there so you feel part of the video.

·         You don’t have to queue for the rides.

Bad points about this video:

·         When he’s going through the rides, as he only has a video camera the angles aren’t that good and you cant see much because the lighting is not good at all as most of the rides go inside buildings into the dark so you cant see much
